The port not showing up in the Skywatcher setup window sounds like a multi-user compatibility issue. The interesting thing is, It got connected one time randomly to PHD2 but never again.Īny idea how to get this working? thank you.Įdited by geethq, 14 February 2023 - 07:34 AM. I'm not using EQMOD and no plans for now. HC shows firmware versions of HC and motor control board and other info in the HC. mount works fine in normal operation and tracks well. it says "cannot connect to a motor controller" I was not able to update the motor control firmware version with pc direct mode, handcontroller is connected to the mount and PC this time. it confirms that the issue is not with the cable and the PC can communicate with HC but it was not connected to the mount when the firmware is updating (only to the PC via HC USB port) I was able to update handcontroller firmware to the latest version using SynScanFirmwareLoader app but that didn't fix the issue. I have tried on another laptop and its the same. I have removed them and installed them again. Also PL2303 drivers for USB to serial connection. I have the Ascom platform and skywatcher Ascom drivers installed. this mount has a USB type B port in the HC but not in the mount itself. I was not using the mount for about a year. I have connected the mount and used it many times before without an issue. I'm trying to connect the mount to PHD2 but it does not recognize when I select skywatcher telescope (ASCOM).Ĭom port is not showing up on the skywatcher setup window but the mount is recognized in the computer management area as prolific USB connection on com port 3. I have traveled 250km to a dark site and my mount won't connect.
